Prepare the office for Paddy’s Day:

Green is the theme so, invite your work colleagues team to wear green – the one wearing the most green can win a “pot of gold” filled chocolate coins. Those can be found at most local grocery stores or party supply stores.

To make your St Patrick’s Day Celebration the talk of the town we have a few suggestions below that teamed up with the best St Patrick’s Day catering in Sydney

will ensure your team are entertained all day!

  • Print out some green shamrocks or post signs around the office with Irish trivia.
  • Get onto Spotify and play some Irish music in the office, remember this doesn’t have to be traditional Irish music, Ireland is also home to some of the greatest musicians like U2, Van Morrison, The Cranberries, Sinead O’Connor and who could forget BoyZone (most people!!).
  • Best Irish joke competition = keep it clean!
  • Best Irish accent imitation – instant disqualification for anyone that says ” Top o da morning” or “To be sure, to be sure”.

Who was St. Patrick?

Did you know that St. Patricks isn’t actually Irish…

He wasn’t Irish, but he found his faith while being held as a prisoner by a group of Irish raiders.

St. Patrick was born in Britain-not Ireland-to wealthy parents near the end of the fourth century. He is believed to have died on March 17, around 460 A.D.

At the age of 16, Patrick was taken prisoner by a group of Irish raiders who were attacking his family’s estate. They transported him to Ireland where he spent six years as a slave.

Patrick later fled to England, where he received religious instruction before returning to Ireland to serve as a missionary.

St. Patrick banished snakes from the Emerald Isle.

Legend has it that Patrick stood on an Irish hillside and delivered a sermon that drove the island’s serpents into the sea.

Seemingly there is just one problem…Ireland never had any snakes, to begin with!!
